Q. Why do you paint / draw? Or, where do you get your inspiration?
A. I really don't know. I am often forced to lie until I come up with an answer which is satisfactory to this question.
Q. Why do these people call you Jack?
A. As with so many other 80's models, I was named Jessica. A teacher decided, upon having 4 other Jessica's already, I was to be re-named Jack. It stuck.
Q. Where did you go to art school?
A. I didn't.
Q. Should I go to art school?
A. Couldn't hurt.
Q. I LUV UR TREE PPL!
A. Thanks. And that's not a question.
Q. Do you do other sorts of artwork?
A. Only as often as I can. I have never met a medium I at least didn't want to try. You can usually find the most up to date information and art over at my DeviantArt Gallery.
Q. Do you sell originals?
A. As often as possible. Some can be quite difficult to part with, though.
Q. But I don't have pay pal, how can I buy your items?
A. Never fear, all you have to do is send me an e-mail with which items you want, and we can work something out.
Q. Will my item come with '4dogarts.com' stamped on it?
A. Of course not - originals come signed by me, but the '4dogarts.com' thingy is just a graphic to help keep honest people honest.
Q. Are you currently taking commissions?
A. Yes and no. At the moment, I am still doing a illustrations for games, book covers, and so forth, so if you’re a publisher or an art director looking for an artist, drop me a line, and at the very least, we can chat about it. I am known to take a commission now and again for families or pets, but it depends on my schedule.
Q. What do you charge for commissions?
A. Generally $1200 for full color. Pricing a job varies depending on the complexity and the distribution, so without more information, it's hard to give you an accurate quote. If you'd like a quote on your project, drop me a line with all the details and your projected timeline.
